Over the next few weeks there are a couple of Saints days which are really worth celebrating.
First up is St David’s Day, which is the feast day of Saint David, who is the patron saint of Wales. It falls on March 1st which is the the date of Saint David’s death in 589 AD. Whilst it’s not a national holiday in the UK, Welsh children celebrate Eisteddfod & there are parades throughout the country, sending red & yellow through the streets.
After that we’ll have St Patrick’s Day, celebrating the patron saint of Ireland, a day everyone is probably a little more familiar with. It falls on March 17th & there is emerald green everywhere, with shades of Guinness too!
Just because you’re not Welsh or Irish, doesn’t mean you can’t get involved with these days. We have a rainbow of a selection of balloons perfect for every occasion.
Don’t forget, the Six Nations is currently underway too, so there’s no better time to brush up on your country history & enjoy the celebrations!
